Intended Use: NOVA Gel™ Jo-1 is a double diffusion test system for the titering and semi quantitative determination of autoantibodies to Jo-1, an extractable nuclear antigen (ENA), in human serum. The presence of antibodies to Jo-1 can be used in conjunction with other serological tests and clinical findings to aid in the diagnosis of polymyositis and other related connective tissue diseases.
